Class Sizes and Ratios

In order to maintain a safe and quality experience for each child in our program River Hills Early Childhood Center keeps the following minimum ratios and class sizes within our classrooms:

Infants - 1 to 4 ratio with a maximum room size of 9

Toddlers  - 1 to 7 ratio with a maximum room size of 14

Young Preschool - 1 to 10 with a maximum room size of 15

Older Preschool - 1 to 10 with a maximum room size of 20

Kindergarten  - 1 to 15 with a maximum room size of 15

In addition, our classrooms have additional teachers/staff at times to allow a strong educational curriculum to be carried out above and beyond basic needs of the children.
