Preschool 2 Teachers

Miss Sarah

Miss Sarah is one of the Preschool teachers and has been teaching here for 4 years enjoying some of the most common daily occurrences especially the hugs she gets throughout the day. Some of her favorite learning centers are art and music and movement. Sarah is known to use Jack Hartmann’s music in her classroom and frequently enjoys “Tooty Ta” during the day. Her favorite theme to teach is nursery rhymes and “Bear Wants More” is one of her favorite books. Sarah will tell you that her favorite thing about teaching at RHECC is the awesome families and coworkers. Sarah loves to snack on string cheese and can usually be seen entering the building with coffee in hand and a great attitude to start her day!

Miss Joan

Miss Joan is one of our Preschool teachers and has a total of 26 years teaching and 6 with RHECC. Miss Joan enjoys working here because of the opportunity to teach in a Christian environment and the ability to teach about Jesus. She also enjoys working with a very nice group of staff. Parts of the day that Joan enjoys teaching most are Bible, writing, and journaling. Greg and Steve are sure to be playing with Miss Joan and the children in her class are sure to know the song “Jesus Loves the Little Children”. The theme that is close to Joan’s heart is “diversity” and she enjoys putting together the lesson that teaches children that it is ok to be different. “The Way I Feel” book series is one Miss Joan uses frequently in the classroom. She can be found snacking on Multigrain crackers and water and she is well known for her encouraging words and a smile!

Miss Kaitlynn

Miss Kaitlynn has been working in our preschool room and subbing in all rooms for 3 years as an aide and loves reading books to the children, singing and dancing and doing skits with the children. Her favorite artist to have playing in the classroom is Jack Johnson and loves the song “Big Bad Wolf”. Miss Kaitlynn loves to help the children in the writing center and reading the book “The Belly Button Book”. Her favorite thing about this work is getting to know the kids as babies and watching them learn and grow all the way through Kindergarten! Kaitlynn loves Baked Lays, cereal and enjoys water throughout the day.

Miss Rachel R

Miss Rachel R is one of our aides that works in our preschool room as well as subs as an assistant teacher when needed. She has been working with us for 2 years and finds the funny things that kids say to be her favorite part of her time in the classroom. Everyone knows that Rachel and many children love the days when Cheez Its are on the snack menu as they are a favorite. Miss Rachel loves the book “Mama Do You Love Me?” and loves the theme “Olympics” in the classroom. Greg and Steve are her first choice for music along with “Tooty Ta”. The best part of working in the classrooms of RHECC for Rachel is the parent/teacher relationships and the friendships between co-workers.
